To provide an abnormality detecting device of a gas holder accurately detecting an abnormal state wherein the leakage of gas of a gas holder exists, and issuing an alarm when the abnormal state is detected.
The abnormality detecting device 1 detects an abnormal state of the gas holder 2 having a plurality of tanks, and wherein the tanks are airtightly joined by a first joint portion 6 having sealing grooves 61 and submersion plates 62. The abnormality detecting device 1 of the gas holder 2 includes non-contacting distance meters 11 installed at three or more parts in a circumferential direction of a side wall portion of a tank provided with the sealing groove 61 for measuring a distance to a liquid surface of the sealing groove 61; a radio device 12 for transmitting a distance measured by the non-contacting distance meter 11 by radio; a calculating means 13 for calculating the liquid surface level of each sealing groove 61 and the inclination of the tank provided with each sealing groove 61 according to the distance transmitted from the radio device 12; and an alarm means 14 for issuing an alarm according to the liquid surface level of each sealing groove 61 calculated by the calculating means 13, and the inclination of the tank provided with the sealing groove 61.
