Abstract:
To enhance the accuracy of an abnormality diagnosis of an in-cylinder pressure sensor.SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnosis device is for use in an in-cylinder pressure sensor SW6. The abnormality diagnosis device comprises a sensor diagnosis part 101 for discriminating the performance of the in-cylinder pressure sensor SW6. The sensor diagnosis part 101 performs performance discrimination processing at prescribed timing. When it is determined that the performance of the in-cylinder pressure sensor SW6 is lower than a prescribed reference value, the abnormality diagnosis device performs deposit removal control. After the execution of performance recover processing, the abnormality diagnosis device performs the performance discrimination processing once again. When it is discriminated that the performance of the in-cylinder pressure sensor SW6 is lower than the prescribed reference value by second discrimination processing, the abnormality diagnosis device diagnoses that the in-cylinder pressure sensor SW6 is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
