Abstract:
To provide a production method of a sheet piece capable of efficiently producing a sheet piece which is bulky, excellent in compression recoveries and excellent in durability, and which hardly causes deterioration of physical properties with use, and to provide a production method of an absorber containing the sheet piece.SOLUTION: A production method of a sheet piece according to the present invention includes a rigidity-imparting step of conveying a belt-like raw material sheet 8 comprising a synthetic fiber, partially applying rigidity-imparting processing to the raw material sheet 8 so as to make the processed part into a high rigidity part 120 having a higher rigidity than that of a surrounding part of the processed part. The raw material sheet 8 having passed through the rigidity-imparting step is cut in a first direction D1 into a narrow sheet 9 (a first cutting step) and is further cut in a second direction D2 crossing the first direction D1 (a second cutting step). Through the above steps, a plurality of sheet pieces 11 comprising a high-rigidity sheet piece 11H having a high rigidity part 120 can be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
