To provide an absorbing sheet and an absorbing article, having high absorptivity for high viscous liquid such as loose stool, menstrual blood and a vaginal discharge.
This absorbing sheet 2 includes particles 6 of high absorptive polymer adherent to the fibers 5 constituting a fibrous substrate, and it is bulky such that the average distance between fibers is 100 to 1000μm. The particles 6 of high absorptive polymer are obtained by making a liquid containing a polymerizable monomer and/or a prepolymer of the monomer adhere to the fibers, and polymerizing the polymerizable monomer and/or the prepolymer. The absorbing article 1 including the absorbing sheet 2 includes: a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 disposed on one surface side of the absorbing sheet 2 and a liquid impermeable back sheet 4 disposed on the other side thereof.
