This method to determine an optimum receiving element includes a first element selecting step to select a plurality of prescribed elements as elements to receive and sample space propagation signals, a first information collecting step to collect receiving intensity information obtained from the elements selected in the first element selecting step, a second element selecting step to select at least one element with high receiving intensity based on the receiving intensity information collected in the first information collecting step, a third element selecting step to select a plurality of elements to receive and sample space propagation signals based on the elements selected in the second element selecting step, a second information collecting step to collect receiving intensity information attained from elements selected in the third element selecting step, and a receiving element determining step to determine the optimum receiving element based on the receiving intensity information collected in the second information collecting step.
