To provide an absorption heat pump capable of attaining a GAX (generator absorber heat exchange) cycle using ammonia as a refrigerant and water as an absorbent by effectively improving separation capacity of a rectifier.
The absorption heat pump comprises a regenerator 1 regenerating refrigerant vapor using water as the absorbent and ammonia as the refrigerant; an evaporator 2 taking in heat energy QL from the outside of a system and evaporating the refrigerant; an absorber 3 absorbing the refrigerant by the absorbent; a condenser 4 condensing the refrigerant vapor; a rectifier 11 separating the absorbent from the refrigerant vapor generated by the regenerator 1; and a cooling water line Lw in which cooling water for cooling the condenser 4 and the absorber 3 flows. The cooling water line Lw is arranged to allow the cooling water to flow through the condenser 4 and absorber 3 after flowing through the rectifier 11.
