Abstract:
To provide an absorption promoter for administration to the colon, most suitable for oral preparations having disintegration in the colon.
This promoter is prepared by formulating at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a hydrophilic medium selected from polyethylene glycol having 190-630 average molecular weight or glycerin, an azacycloalkane derivative, bile salts and fatty acid salts and medium chain fatty acid salts. The azacycloalkane derivative is preferably 1-[2-(decylthio) ethyl]azacyclopentan-2-one. The bile salt is preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of sodium cholate, sodium glycocholate, sodium taurocholate, sodium deoxycholate and sodium chenodeoxycholate.
