Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator device for an electric vehicle suppressing start of a vehicle by an acceleration operation not intended by a driver to improve safety.SOLUTION: An accelerator device for an electric vehicle provided with an advance/retract traveling changeover switch changing over the travelling direction of an electric vehicle to advance or retract, an accelerator lever performing an acceleration operation in an advance direction changed over by the advance/retract changeover switch and a motor driven on the basis of an operation of the accelerator lever, includes a control part allowing travelling of the electric vehicle by driving the motor when satisfying a prescribed travelling allowance condition. The control part allows travel of the electric vehicle (step S6) on a travelling allowance condition that the accelerator lever is operated (YES in step S5) within a prescribed period of time after the advance/retract changeover switch is operated (YES in step S2 or S3).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
