Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inhibit gastric acid secretion in mammals, particularly in human by directly administering a 5-HT1A receptor agonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to the mammals required to inhibit the secretion of gastric juice. CONSTITUTION: Preferably (A) an 8-substituted-2-amino-1,2,3,4- tetrahydronaphthalene, 5-substituted-3-aminochroman, (B) 4-1mino-1,3,4,5- tetrahydrobenz[c,d]indole, not-endogenous indole, aryloxypropanolamine, N- arylpiperazines, benzodioxane, phenylcyclopropylamine, N-arylpiperazines, piperidinylmethyl-tetrahydroisoquinoline, particularly 5-HT1A agonist or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt selected from the compounds in group (A) is used as an active ingredient to give a pharmaceutical preparation for inhibiting gastric secretion that is useful for treatment of gastric ulcer and digestive ulcer in mammals, particularly in humans.
