Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the surround effect and to prevent the lowering of a vocal level by mixing an intemediate and high frequency signal in an (R+L) signal with R and L-channel signals so as to correct an in-phase component and using a phase delay circuit to generate a phase difference.
CONSTITUTION: An (R-L) signal detection circuit 3 detects a difference between an R-channel signal and an L-channel signal, and a phase delay circuit 4 delays the phase of the (R-L) signal. Furthermore, a (R+L) signal detection circuit 5 detects a sum of the R-channel signal and the L-channel signal, a band pass filter 6 detects a medium and high frequency signal of the (R+L) signal and a phase delay circuit 7 delays the phase of the signal. Then a mixing circuit 8 adds an output signal of the phase delay circuit 4 and an output signal of the band pass filter 6 to the R-channel signal and subtracts the output signal of the phase delay circuit 4 from the L-channel signal, and a mixing circuit 9 adds the output signal of the band pass filter 6 whose phase is delayed by the phase delay circuit 7 to the L-channel signal.
