Title:
ANTI-DIFFUSION FILM OF FIBER REINFORCED SUPERHEAT RESISTANT ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3303361
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent counter diffusion even at high temp. and to ensure satisfactory strength by forming an anti-diffusion film interposed between a superheat resistant alloy and reinforcing fiber with cubic Zr-based ceramics.
CONSTITUTION: When a superheat resistant alloy 2 is reinforced with reinforcing fiber 3 such as W fiber to obtain a fiber reinforced superheat resistant alloy 1, an anti-diffusion film 4 for preventing counter diffusion of the alloy 2 and the fiber 3 is interposed between them. This anti-diffusion film 4 has a two- layered structure obtd. by forming a Zr layer 5 as a middle layer on the fibers 3 and a layer 6 of cubic Zr-based ceramic stabilized with about 10% ZrO2Y2O3 on the Zr layer 5. Both the layers 5, 6 are preferably formed by ion plating, the pref, thickness of the layer 5 is about 0.01-1μm and that of the layer 6 is about 0.5-3μm.
