Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have an acoustic wave with good quality received by restraining peripheral reflection waves from being received when a generated acoustic wave is received at a desired reception position.SOLUTION: An acoustic wave generator 35 comprises: an acoustic wave generation unit 37 for generating an acoustic wave by converting an output signal obtained by modulating an ultrasonic wave into an acoustic wave; and a cylindrical reflection member 38 having a certain length and both ends in a length direction being open. The reflection member 38 is attached to the acoustic wave generation unit so that the acoustic wave generated by the acoustic wave generation unit is injected into one end of both open ends, and goes out from the other end. In addition, the reflection member 38 is formed such that the area of a cross section gradually increases from the one end to the other end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
