Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject new compounds useful as a vegetable disease- controlling agent.
CONSTITUTION: Compounds of formula I [X is a lower (halo)alkyl, a (halogen- substituted)phenyl, methylene, etc.; n is 0 or 1; Y is O or S; Z is a (substituted) phenyl, an aralkyl, an aromatic heterocyclyl, etc.], e.g. methyl-2-[6-(4-(pyridin-2- yloxy)phenyl)-2-pyridon-1-yl]-3-methoxypropenoate. The compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a methylation agent.
