Abstract:
To provide an active carbon for an electric double layer capacitor caused by CO2-alkali based complex activation, and a manufacturing method therefor, according to the present invention.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, included is a CO2-alkali based complex activation step of activating a carbon material mixed with an alkaline activator at a temperature of 700°C or more under a CO2 atmosphere. According to the present invention, a micro pore and a meso pore are simultaneously developed via CO2-alkali based complex activation in which alkaline activation (chemical activation) and CO2 activation (physical activation) are simultaneously carried out to improve electrical characteristics of an electric double layer capacitor.SELECTED DRAWING: None
