Abstract:
To provide an activated carbon fiber sheet capable of performing sufficient decomposing treatment for a harmful substance for a long period of time without inhibiting an activity point, a removal method for a harmful substance in flue gas using it or an apparatus.
The activated carbon fiber sheet is obtained by mixing a binder having a hydrophobic surface and an activated carbon fiber and sheet-forming it. A catalyst layer 107 is formed using the activated carbon fiber sheet and is internally provided in a cleaning column 104. For example, sulfur oxide or the like in an exhaust gas 107 from a boiler 100 is decomposed.
