PURPOSE: To improve the picture quality by dividing a gate line into 1/n, selecting a gate side clock to be a multiple of (n) of a 1H frequency and selecting a pulse width of a gate side data signal to be 1H×(1-1/n) so as to reduce crosstalk.
CONSTITUTION: A gate line of a TFT active matrix liquid crystal panel 5 is divided into 2 (n=2). Drive control signals OE1, OE2 in addition to SD, SO, P-VIDEO signals are fed to a signal processing section 2 and a source line drive 3. Moreover, a gate side data signal GD1 and a gate side clock signal GC1 are fed to a gate line driver 18. The frequency of the GC1 signal is twice (n=2) of th 1H frequency and the pulse width of the GC1 signal is a half of 1H. Thus, each gate line is divided into 1/2 and each divided gate line is selected for 1/2H period and scanned by a frequency being twice the 1H frequency.
