To provide an active matrix substrate that can be also applied to a liquid crystal panel having high resolution, and that is for improving video quality.SOLUTION: An active matrix substrate 10 comprises: one or more thin-film transistors that are provided for each sub-pixel; and a light-shielding layer 16 that is individually provided to be superposed for each thin-film transistor group which are composed of a predetermined number of thin-film transistors, and the predetermined number is double of the number of thin-film transistors being comprised by the pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
