Abstract:

To provide a positive electrode material for an electrochemical cell bringing about a higher capacity as compared with carbon.

It is a positive electrode material coated with hydroxide or oxyhydroxide of Sn, Mo, Se, W or Sb converted to an oxide with Sb, Bi, Cd, In, Pb, Ga, Sn or their alloy as a core, and its manufacturing method, where, a slurry of above metal or alloy core in urotropin is adjusted and emulsified with hydrocarbon of C5 to C12 and precipitated on a hydroxide of above metal or an alloy core, to be converted to an oxide with the premix heated.
