To safely perform an operation even when a circuit breaker with a charging part exposed is operated.
An adapter is mounted to an operation plate of a circuit breaker having: a first electrode; a second electrode; a conductive plate rotated with a spindle formed on the second electrode as a center so that a contact point comes into contact with the first electrode when the first electrode and the second electrode are connected to each other; and an insulative operation plate provided on a face of the conductive plate opposite to a face opposed to the first electrode so that a knob part projects further than a tip on a side of the conductive plate opposite to the spindle. The adapter has: an operation plate holding part having a first extension part extending along a face of the knob part opposed to the first electrode to cover the knob part, and a second extension part continuously extending from the first extension part along a face of the knob part opposed to the first electrode; and an operation piece projecting on a side of the second extension part opposite to the spindle for operating the operation plate.
