Abstract:
To reduce the noise of an X-ray image produced by a computer tomography system using an adaptive projection filtering scheme.
In one embodiment of this invention, this invention includes a production 102 of system information, an acquisition 104 of primitive projection data, a determination 106 of characteristics of the primitive projection data, processing 108 of the system information producing filtered projection data and the primitive projection data responding to the data characteristics, and calculation 110 of the final projection data responding to the filtered projection data.
