Title:
ADHESIVE FOR FLOCK TRANSFER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6013867
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled one-pack hot-melt adhesive having excellent wet adhesive strength e.g. in washing, etc., by compounding an emulsion of a base resin composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a thermally reactive crosslinking agent having a substituent amino group of a specific structural formula, etc.

CONSTITUTION: The objective adhesive is obtained by mixing (A) an emulsion of a reactive and self-crosslinking base resin composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, with (B) an adhesive diluent composed of one or more thermoplastic resins selected from powdery polyamide, polyester and PE and (C) a thermally reactive crosslinking agent having the substituent amino group of formula I or formula II (R is alkyl) (e.g. methylated methylolmelamine). The ratios of the components A:B:C are preferably (70W100):(20W70):(1W10).

EFFECT: The abrasion resistance of the flock in wet state can be remarkably improved.

USE: Heat-transfer applique, etc.
