To provide a new aspiration device which is selectively adjustable between surgical procedures.
This aspiration device for removing a fluid from a cavity of the body is equipped with a long and thin member which regulates a longitudinal axis, and has a proximal end and a distal end. The long and thin member has a longitudinal conduit which passes through the long and thin member for making the fluid pass through. The long and thin member includes a flexible and extendable section which is adapted to be selectively regulated in a manner to change the length in the longitudinal axis of the long and thin member, and the orientation to the longitudinal axis of the long and thin member. The aspiration device includes a handle which is connected with the proximal end of the long and thin member. The handle regulates the longitudinal conduit of the long and thin member and a longitudinal lumen which communicates with the fluid.
