Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as an adsorbent for cesium, an adsorbent for cesium whose volume can be miniaturized.SOLUTION: The provided adsorbent for cesium includes: a carrier consisting of an organic substrate; and an adsorbate. The adsorbate is supported on a carrier. The adsorbate possesses not only a first aromatic ring and a second aromatic ring but also a structure A and a structure B coupled respectively with the first aromatic ring and the second aromatic ring. Each of the structure A and the structure B includes [-C-X-C-] (where X is a hetero atom). The number of atoms constituting the first and second aromatic rings and rings constituted by the structures A and B is 19-26. At least either of the first and second aromatic rings is chemically coupled with the carrier.
