Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst excellent in durability using an oxygen storage material utilizing FeO.SOLUTION: There is provided an exhaust gas purification catalyst which has a catalyst coat layer on a substrate and contains an alumina carrier, a palladium group metal, an iron oxide-zirconia composite oxide and a lanthanoid oxide in the same catalyst coat layer, where an iron oxide-zirconia composite oxide having oxygen storage capacity and a lanthanoid oxide are allowed to coexist in the same catalyst coat layer.
