Abstract:
PURPOSE: To conserve resources and to provide an inexpensive adsorbent excellent in chemical properties such as adsorptivity by effectively utilizing the seed of a Japanese apricot which has been discarded and incinerated so far.
CONSTITUTION: The seed of a Japanese apricot is carbonized and further activated, as required. Namely, the seed as waste is placed in a specified carbonization device, nitrogen and oxygen are supplied while adjusting the balance, and the seed is carbonized to obtain an adsorbent. The obtained carbonization product is further activated, if necessary.
