Title:
ADSORPTIVE SEPARATION OF TECHNETIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01215727
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To recover technetium even from an acidic solution having high concentration, without causing the deterioration with radiation or the lowering of the acid concentration, by treating a high activity waste with an adsorbent consisting of activated carbon.

CONSTITUTION: An activated carbon is added to a Tc-containing solution such as high radiation waste liquid or dissolved solution of spent nuclear fuel. As an alternative method, a Tc-containing solution is passed through a column packed with activated carbon to separate Tc in the form adsorbed to the activated carbon.
