Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aged product of coverter slag having an extremely low coefficient of expansion by water immersion of ≤0.5% and stable properties usable for a sub-base of severe quality assurance of product, a material to be embedded in a caisson, etc., method.
SOLUTION: A coverter slag 11a is ground by a crusher 12 into ≤10 mm and ≤10% granules having ≤0.4 mm particle size. An aging tank 14 is equipped with a part 14a for piling a converter slag 11b by diaphragm 16 furnished with an opening part between the bottom and the diaphragm and a drain reservoir part 14b having plural independent drain reservoir's 28a to 28e. Warm water 17a is continuously sent from the side of an inner wall 24a into a converter slag layer 11c which is piled in a chevron shape in the aging tank 14 and the converter slag layer 11c is continuously subjected to aging treatment with unsaturated warm water 17a.
