To faciliate an assembling work and reduce the manhour and cost in an air bag device formed by fixing the opening peripheral edge of an air bag to the inside of the opening peripheral edge of a case opened upward through a bag retainer.
A bag retainer 30 is disposed with an air bag inside the opening peripheral edge of a case 12, plural engagement parts 32 are passed through through holes 24, 22 of the air bag 14 and the opening peripheral edge of the case 12 and also passed through a through hole 28 of a fitting part 26 of a door 18, and a locking member 40 is vertically inserted in insert holes 34 of the engagement parts 32 projected to the outside of the fitting part 26 of the door 18. Thus, the back retainer 32 is locked and the air bag 14 and the door 18 are fixed to the case 12.
