To provide an air bladder for a safety tire capable of obtaining stable run flat traveling performance by realizing rationalization of rigidity of a hoop reinforcement layer.
The hollow circular pipe-like air bladder 1 is stored in the tire 2 and air is filled at an internal pressure set in relation with a predetermined air pressure of the tire 2. In the state that the internal pressure of the tire 2 is normal, a space S1 is formed between at least an inner surface of the tire 2 and it. When the internal pressure of the space S1 of the tire 2 is rapidly reduced by blowout or the like, the air bladder 1 is diameter-enlarged and deformed and finally arrives at the inner surface of the tire 2 and support of load is taken over from the tire 2. The air bladder 1 is provided with an air non-permeable tube 6; and a hoop reinforcement layer 7 on an outer periphery of a crown part of the tube 6. The hoop reinforcement layers 7 are arranged at side areas 10, 10 in at least both width directions of the air bladder 1 and circumferential strong force of a central area 9 in a width direction of the crown part 8 of the air bladder 1 becomes lower than that of side areas 10, 10 in both width directions.
