Title:
AIR CONDITIONER AND DRYING OPERATION METHOD OF INDOOR UNIT THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003014334
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an air conditioner capable of reducing propagation of miscellaneous bacteria and fungi by reducing diffusion of highly humid air into a room and eliminating a high temperature high humidity state in an indoor unit in a short time.

The air conditioner comprises an indoor unit 3 containing an outlet 27, a front face opening 25, an upper suction port 26, an indoor fan 10, a rear side heat exchanger section 8a, and a front side heat exchanger 8b of an indoor heat exchanger 8 and an indoor throttling valve 14 interposed between the rear side heat exchanger 8a and the front side heat exchanger 8b. The condition is further provided with an indoor control section for controlling the indoor fan 10 and the indoor throttling valve 14. The air conditioner can execute cooling operation and cycle dry operation wherein the indoor fan 10 is controlled to a specified capacity, and the throttling of the throttling valve 14 is increased to make the front side heat exchanger 8b function as a condenser and the rear side heat exchanger 8a function as an evaporator. A drying operation control means is provided to perform such a control that drying operation mode for performing ventilating operation for a specified time is executed after the cycle dry operation has been executed for a specified time.
