Abstract:
To advantageously use thermal effect.
A heat pump mixes carbon dioxide and methanol or ethanol around the critical point of carbon dioxide, and recovers heat thus generated. Therefore, a large quantity of heat is obtained by mixing operation around a room temperature. Carbon dioxide and methanol or ethanol are very inexpensive, and further carbon dioxide and methanol or ethanol are recycled for realizing higher efficiency. Because the two liquids are easily separated by slightly changing pressure, the cycle of mixing and separating can be easily constituted.
