Abstract:

To solve problems with indoor equipment having a ventilator that could arise if it is installed in such a way that it cannot be operated for ventilation, or if it does not need to be operated for ventilation.

The air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger provided in the indoor unit; an indoor fan for supplying air to the heat exchanger; a ventilator having the function of exhausting operation by which indoor air is exhausted outdoors via an air duct; and a remote controller for directing the operation of the ventilator. The indoor unit is provided with a switch for inhibiting the function of exhausting operation. When the function of exhausting operation is inhibited by means of the switch, the exhausting operation is not performed even if the exhausting operation of the ventilator is directed by means of the remote controller.
