In an air conditioner, a removal and collecting section has a semi-cylindrical removal brush 30 having a removal brush face portion 30a that receives dust swept with a cleaning brush, a dust removal member 30e that is provided at a position outside the removal brush 30 to sweep the dust of the cleaning brush, a brush sliding contact section that brings the cleaning brush into sliding contact with the removal brush face portion 30a, a dust return prevention brush 32 that sweeps the dust received at the removal brush face portion 30a, a brush sliding contact section that brings the removal brush face portion 30a into sliding contact with the dust return prevention brush 32, and a dust collecting section that accumulates the dust swept with the dust return prevention brush 32, wherein the dust removal member 30e is arranged at a position displaced in parallel from a position at which its center line 30k passes a rotating center 32g of the removal brush 30.
