PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that in a case a transparent drain hose is used to confirm discharging of drain water of an air conditioner, a clearance gap may be formed by heat insulation treatment on a hose and a connecting portion which causes generation of dew condensation, and in a case a pipe subjected to the heat insulation treatment in advance is used, flow of drain water inside a pipe cannot be visually confirmed.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: a refrigerant circuit configured by successively connecting a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, a throttle device and an indoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant; a drain socket made of a transparent material and disposed on an outer wall of a main body including the indoor heat exchanger to be connected to an external drain pipe to drain the drain water generated in the indoor heat exchanger; a socket portion heat insulating material disposed on an outer periphery of the drain socket; and a U-shaped cutout at a cylinder end part of the socket portion heat insulating material. The drain water flowing inside the drain socket can be visually confirmed from the U-shaped cutout.
