PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having excellent energy saving performance and comfort by properly controlling capacities of a plurality of indoor units.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a plurality of indoor units, an outdoor unit connected to the plurality of indoor units through refrigerant pipes, and a flow rate adjustment device for adjusting a flow rate of a refrigerant flowing to each of the plurality of indoor units. Further each of the indoor units includes a rated requirement capacity ratio determination portion for determining the rated requirement capacity ratio as a ratio of the requirement capacity required in each indoor unit to a rated capacity of each indoor unit, a determination portion for determining a maximum load indoor unit as the indoor unit of the maximum rated requirement capacity ratio among the plurality of indoor units, and a low load indoor unit as the indoor unit excluding the maximum load indoor unit, and a flow rate adjustment portion giving a limit to an upper limit side of a flow rate adjustment range with respect to the flow rate adjustment device for adjusting a flow rate of the refrigerant to the low load indoor unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
