Title:
AIR FILTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3222683
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an air filter which exhibits sterilization effect over a long period of time by mounting a silver type disinfectant, which is involved into porous silica and mixed with chitosan, with a binder on the surface of the main component of an air filter.
CONSTITUTION: Slurry of silver oxide and silver complex salt is mixed with silica sol, a colloidal solution of ultra-fine particles of silica, and the mixture is spray-dried to make fine particles. The fine particles, after being burned or incorporated into sodium silicate by an interfacial reaction method, are mixed with an organic solvent and a surfactant to make a W/O type emulsion, which is incorporated with an agent which deposits silicic anhydride to be encapsulated by a silica component. A silver type disinfectant involved into silica, after being mixed with chitosan, is mounted on the surface of a filter by a binder, obtaining the filter having good capture and sterilization effect.
