The subject air pollutant removal apparatus comprises a cylindrical body frame 2 fixed on a stand 1, an air suction port 3 formed in a lower part of the body frame, an air discharge port 4 formed in an upper part, a solar cell panel 5 attached to the outer circumferential face of the body frame, a cylindrical permeable filter 6 bearing a photocatalyst and installed in the inside of the body frame in a freely detachable manner, and an ultraviolet lamp 10 installed in the inside of the permeable filter 6 and the ultraviolet lamp 10 is lit by the solar cell.
