The air-conditioning/generation system comprises: a compressor 12 that is driven by the engine 10; an outdoor heat exchanger; an air-conditioning device that has a pressure reduction device and an indoor heat exchanger; a generator 11 that is driven by the engine 10; and an inverter 33 that is connected to the output side of the generator 11. The engine 10 is driven at the speed that corresponds to an air-conditioning requirement, and the inverter 33 is controlled so that the generation amount of the generator 11 reaches a generation amount that corresponds to an engine allowable load at the above speed.
