Abstract:
To provide aircraft fuselage configurations that allow cargo with large dimensions and shapes.SOLUTION: An aircraft has an aft main cargo cabin 51 with a low deck floor 52, and a rear access 60 configured to provide access to the aft main cargo cabin 51 from behind a fuselage 20. The deck floor 52 of the aft main cargo cabin 51 is lower than a first deck floor 32 of a forward main cabin 31 of a forward section 30 of the fuselage. The aft main cargo cabin 51 has a second height greater than a first height of the forward main cabin 31, thereby allowing the aft main cargo cabin 51 to accommodate oversize cargo with larger dimensions and shapes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
