Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting an airframe parameter of an airship so that a proper climbing profile can be provided in conformity with an actual atmospheric environment condition.
SOLUTION: A GPS sonde is released right before an actual flight of the airship having independent He/air sacs, and actual atmospheric environment data such as an altitude, pressure, wind direction, wind speed, and temperature of the sky is acquired. The climbing profile of the airship is determined by a simulation from the actual atmospheric environment data, and an initial He amount in an airframe is determined. An He amount in the airframe is adjusted in conformity with the initial He amount, and initial buoyancy is set.
