Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airplane position display method, in which a near miss or collision can effectively be prevented.
SOLUTION: The geography of an air traffic control area is three- dimensionally displayed on a display screen, and each of marks of airplanes is displayed at the location on the display screen corresponding to the three- dimensional location of a relevant airplane on the basis of air traffic control information. When a distance between airplanes is smaller than a threshold determining a safety interval, a monitoring mark consisting of a triangle formed with the respective airplane marks and a point at a location away from these airplane marks for a distance on the display screen corresponding to the altitude difference of both the airplanes along a perpendicular line drooped from the airplane mark corresponding to one airplane to the surface to the ground in the geography as three apexes is three-dimensionally displayed on the display screen. When the interference of both the airplanes in a protecting air area is predicted on the basis of the locus of flight and flight conditions, a prescribed caution mark is displayed.
