Abstract:

To provide an Al-Mg-Si series alloy extruded shape material with which the falling of Si series compounds such as Si series crystallized products is suppressed and to provide a producing method therefore.

This extrude shape material is composed of a JIS6061Al alloy containing, by weight, 0.4 to 0.8% Si and 0.8 to 1.2% Mg and also containing those elements in such a manner that the ratio of Mg/Si satisfies 1.53 to 3 by weight, and, in its metallic structure, the size of Si series compounds is controlled to ≤3 μm. Moreover, the extruded, shape material is obtained by extruding an alloy billet having the above composition at 500 to 530°C to a requird shape, thereafter performing cooling at the rate of 120 to 400°C/min, moreover holding the billet at 165 to 190°C for ≤15 hr and performing aging treatment.
