Title:
AL MATERIAL PROVIDED WITH PHOSPHATE COATING FILM AND FORMATION OF PHOSPHATE COATING FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3385561
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve and stabilize the phosphating treatability of the aluminum alloy material by providing the material with a surface property adjusted so that the current value in anodic polarization is within a specified range.
CONSTITUTION: The surface property of this aluminum alloy material on which a phosphate film is to be formed is adjusted so that the current which flows at the time of performing a potential sweep from the immersion potential in a 10wt.% nitric acid aq. solution at 20°C toward the anode side by 0.5V at a 30mV/min sweep speed is a value within the range of 200 to 700μA/cm2. Further preferably, in addition to the surface property, the time required until a rapid change in potential curve occurs after immersing the Al material in a phosphating solution is adjusted to ≤55sec. These surface properties are obtained by removing the oxide film of the surface of the Al material through washing it with acid. Since the phosphating treatability of the Al material is equivalent to that of a steel material, the phosphating of both the Al material and a steel material can concurrently be performed and after this phosphating, no difference in appearance or corrosion resistance after coating between them can be recognized.
