NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (Ar is pyridine, pyridazine, pyrimidine, pyrazine or isoquinoline ring; R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylmethyl, allyl, benzyl or 1W3 F, Cl or Br; R2 is alkyl; x is 0W2).
EXAMPLE: 6-Isobutylthio-2-pyrazylmethanesulfonate.
USE: An insecticidal, miticidal and nematocidal agent. It is not only effective in systemically controlling vermin at high rate but also has a character as a penetrant insecticide.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II (Y is H, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal) with a sulfonyl halide of formula III (Z is halogen) or a sulfonic acid anhydride of formula IV in a solvent optionally in the presence of an acid acceptor at -10W+100°C, preferably 0W40°C.
