Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means when producing cyclohexyl hydroperoxide by oxidizing cyclohexane with oxygen in a reactor and in which, under the reactor operation condition, the metallic surface is protected and in addition it is not required to frequently exchange or periodically stop said apparatus.SOLUTION: The problem is solved by a method for producing alkyl hydroperoxide that comprises contacting liquid hydrocarbon with oxygen at high temperature in a reactor and in which it is characterized in that the surface of the reactor in contact with the medium containing the hydroperoxide has a protective coating produced from perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) polymer.
