To provide an aluminum alloy for casting to be used for casting a vehicular wheel wherein the additive amount of beryllium is regulated so as to suppress oxidation of a molten aluminum alloy when casting the vehicular wheel, and a vehicular wheel casting method.
The aluminum alloy for casting is obtained by adding beryllium to an Al-Si-Mg aluminum alloy by 3-8 ppm, and the molten aluminum alloy for casting is cast into a vehicular wheel. Further, a molten metal is generated by adding beryllium to the molten Al-Si-Mg aluminum alloy by 3-8 ppm, and the molten metal is cast into the vehicular wheel. By limiting the additive amount of beryllium to be very small and in a very narrow range, the effect of suppressing oxidation of the molten metal is drastically demonstrated.
