Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an aluminum alloy foil for the cathode of an electrolytic capacitor in which the surface can be uniformly dissolved at the time of etching and which can obtain high electrostatic capacitance.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum alloy foil for the cathode of an electrolytic capacitor contains as chemical composition, 0.02 to 0.15wt.% of Fe, 0.003 to 0.02wt.% of Mg, 0.001 to 0.015wt.% of B, and the residue of Al and impurities. The foil also contains 0.003 to 0.03wt.% of Zn in addition to the Fe, the Mg and the B.
