Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve press formability and corrosion resistance by forming an Al-Mn alloy plating layer having a regulated Mn content as the outermost layer on an Al alloy sheet and specifying the coating weight of the Al-Mn alloy plating layer.
CONSTITUTION: A specified plating layer made of a single layer or consisting of two or more layers is formed on the surface of an Al alloy sheet to obtain the title Al alloy sheet. The outermost layer of the plating layer is formed with an Al-Mn alloy plating layer contg. 1-70wt.% Mn and the coating weight of the Al-Mn alloy plating layer is regulated to 1-50g/m2. The slidability of the Al alloy sheet is enhanced and the press formability is improved without deteriorating the corrosion resistance.
