Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain Al base composite excellent in ductility and fracture toughness by specifying a volume ratio of Al and TiO2 in the composite material of reformed body laminating aluminum foil stuck with TiO2 and Al alloy.
CONSTITUTION: A preformed body is produced by laminating plural aluminum foils stuck with TiO2 particle, and Al base composite material is produced by pouring Al alloy molten metal to the performed body and executing pressure casting. At this time, Al has 20-95% volume ratio in the whole composite part and the balance consists of a composite part of TiO2 particle and Al alloy, and a volume ratio of TiO2 particle is ≤30% of the whole composite part. By this method, Al base composite material excellent in ductility and fracture toughness is obtained. Further, by laminating the aluminum foil stuck with TiO2 particle while inclining in the specified direction, appropriate gradient function is imparted and the composite material changed in inclined direction is obtained.
