Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:An amide derivative expressed by the formula (R is acyl derived from higher unsaturated fatty acid).
EXAMPLE: N-(9,12-Octadienoyl)-6-aminonicotinamide.
USE: A mediene and 5-lipoxygenase action inhibitor capable of suppressing production of leukotriene B4 which is an inflammatory factor in psoriasis, etc., produced buy the action of the 5-lipoxygenase and used as a remedy for psoriasis.
PREPARATION: 6-Aminonicotinamide and an active acyl derivative, e.g. acid chloride, etc., derived from linoleic acid, α-linolenic acid, 6,9,12,15- octadecatetraenoic acid, 5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid, 4,7,10,13,16,19- docosahexaenoic acid, etc., are subjected to condensation reaction to afford the aimed compound expressed by the formula.
